Laughlin was echt hilarisch. De gemiddelde leeftijd in het casino was 70+ en er waren gigantische groepen Aziaten. (die soms echt vreemd zijn, 100 x op het lift knopje drukken helpt echt niet hoor!) Omdat ik (lianne) echt heel veel zin had in even zonnen ben ik er om 8 uur uitgegaan en lag ik aan het zwembad. Wat verbazend goed te doen was aangezien het al behoorlijk warm was. Na 1,5 uur was ik lichtjes aan het verbranden en ben ik maar terug naar de kamer gegaan waar arjan al klaar zat. Na een douche zijn we op weg gegaan naar de Grand Canyon. Onderweg in Kingman bij de Ihop lekker gegeten (eggs, sausages, French toast, bacon en pancakes yummm). Daarna was het nog 2,5 uur rijden naar de Grand Canyon waar we nu in de Bright angel lodge zitten. 15 meter verderop zit je gewoon aan de rand van de canyon, echt geweldig mooi! De lodge is wel wat minder luxe dan 2 jaar geleden. We hebben gegeten bij het steakhouse hier en de steak was erug goed, beste tot nu toe!! De ice tea wat minder, het was echt thee met wat ijsblokjes erin haha. De sunset was wel wat minder dan 2 jaar geleden omdat het nu bewolkt was, toch was het nog steeds spectaculair. De Grand Canyon is echt geweldig.
Laughlin was hilaric. The average age was 70+ and there were huge groups of asians. (who are so strange sometimes, pushing the elavator butten 100 times won't make it go faster!) Because I (Lianne) really wanted to go to the pool i went at 8 in the morning. It was suprisingly good! Its wasnt so hot but the sun was already burning on my skin. A bit red i went back to the room 1,5 hours later. Arjan was ready so i took a shower and off we went to the grand canyon. We stopped at Kingman for a Ihop lunch. (eggs, sausages, French toast, bacon and pancakes yummm). After that it was 2,5 hour drive to the Grand Canyon where we are now in the Bright angel lodge. Just 15 meters further and you are at the rim, it is magnificent!!! The lodge is less luxury then we had 2 years ago but its ok. We had dinner at the steakhouse and the steak was superb, the best so far! The ice tea not so, it was just regular tea with ice in it haha. The sunset was less spectaculair then 2 years ago because now it was cloudy. Though it was still great! The Grand Canyon is awesome!
